This law establishes the freedom of citizens to associate voluntarily as an inalienable right. Public associations are organizations formed voluntarily by citizens to exercise and protect their rights and freedoms.
Why it matters for the association. Our organization is registered in exactly the legal form this law defines — a public association. The law gives us the ability to:
- operate independently on the basis of our own charter;
- admit members on a voluntary basis;
- deliver educational and social projects;
- cooperate with state bodies and other organizations.
